Red Chair
While at Bay Lake this weekend we stopped at Ruttger's Lodge. Emerson took a liking to a little red chair outside one of the shops.

Summer 2009
It's hard to believe we've reached the 4th of July already! Summer 2009 is flying by us. Emerson has been keeping busy by playing outside, going to her favorite retailer Target, and pretty much talking non-stop. Potty training is in motion, with about a 50 percent success ratio. One can only bribe a child with chocolate candies so much. The first picture might be familiar to frequent visitors to this blog. Check out a previous post from June 18th, 2007.

Long Weekend
So far we've been enjoying our long holiday weekend. Yard work was the order of the day on Saturday (Emerson even pitched in & helped). Yesterday we went to the Como Zoo where Emerson claimed her favorite animal of day was the tiger. On a related note, I realize the Como Zoo is the Twin Cities "free" zoo, but c'mon people, the donation bins are at the entrance for a reason. I can't stand it when a family of 13 waltzes right in without so much as thinking about tossing in a buck or two. I probably already pay for your groceries, I'm not that excited about paying for your entertainment expenses as well. Sorry, I just remembered this blog was about Emerson. She was oblivious to the non-donating patrons yesterday.
We're also in pseudo potty training mode this weekend. Emerson blew through about 9 pairs of underwear on Saturday. Sooner than later she'll get it.
