Big Girl

It is hard to believe that Emerson will be 3 weeks old tomorrow. She is eating very well which is evident by how big she is getting. We took a family trip to Target tonight (Emerson is really getting used to going to Target) to pick up some essentials, which included size 1 diapers since her newborn diapers are getting a little snug. Those same newborn diapers seemed huge on her when we left the hospital!

Rainy Day

Mommy and Emerson didn't venture too far from home today due to the rainy weather. Instead they spent time bonding indoors. Emerson also slept quite a bit today and was just waking up from a nap when Dad arrived home from work. Tonight was bath night and to the delight of Mom and Dad, Emerson was a perfect little girl throughout the entire event. Mom and Dad are hoping for another good nights sleep tonight. Last night Emerson slept from 12:30 to almost 4:30 before deciding food was more important than sleep.

2 Week Appointment

With record temperatures in the Twin Cities today, Mommy and Emerson took full advantage by taking a long walk this afternoon.

Tonight was also Emerson's 2 week appointment. She was measured at 21 1/4" and weighed 7lbs 14oz, which means she has already grown a full inch and has gained almost two pounds. We're thrilled that our little girl is so happy and healthy!

I'm Cute!

With the beautiful weather this weekend, Mom & Dad took Emerson on plenty of long walks. She really likes her stroller and usually falls asleep instantly (which is something she didn't do between 11pm & 3am last night). She also went on a couple of car trips this weekend and has proven to be a really good little traveler. This picture was taken after her late morning feeding. Isn't she cute??

Emerson is 2 weeks old today!

Little Emerson turns 2 weeks today (at 11:19 PM to be exact). Mommy & Emerson spent the week together at home while Daddy returned to work. Mommy made sure she sent a couple of pictures to Daddy each day. We went for a long walk through the neighborhood last night before dinner. Last night was also bath night. Mom and Dad must be getting the hang of this bath thing because Emerson seemed to enjoy getting clean.

Grandma & Grandpa Quast Visit

This week Grandma Quast stayed with Trista and Emerson during the day while Grandpa and Mike went to work. We baked cookies, did lots of laundry, and played.

Emerson also figured out that she could blow bubbles. Mommy managed to snap a picture or two her in the act, but we thought this one was too sweet not to share.

Visitors

Emerson had the chance to meet all of her cousins from Cloquet today. Mike's sisters & their families along with Mike's Mom & Dad drove down for the afternoon. She enjoyed the love & attention from everyone and really appreciated all of the great gifts she received. Thanks everyone!
