First Week of Daycare

Emerson completed her first week at daycare, and over all things went very well. She was usually pretty sleepy at night after we would pick her up. A few nights she went over 8 hours between feedings. Mom and Dad are looking forward to spending the weekend with our little sweetie!

A Good Night's Sleep

It finally happened! This past Thursday Emerson slept through the night, just two days shy of turning 12 weeks old. Mom and Dad sprung out of bed around 5:20 AM after we realized what had happened. When we checked on her she was sleeping soundly, and remained that way until 7:00 AM.

Tomorrow is her first day of daycare and Mommy's first day back to work. It is a toss up as to who is going to be more heartbroken tomorrow morning. We know she will be in good hands, but we'll still miss her during the day just the same.

Go Twins!

Emerson attended her first Twins game yesterday, though she slept through most of it. When she was awake she spent more time looking at the lights and roof than the game. We filled her in on all the details on the ride home though.

Long Weekend

Emerson has been enjoying the long holiday weekend with Mommy and Daddy. We've been busy spending time outside, shopping, attendeding a BBQ last night. This afternoon she will experience her first Twins game, hopefully not 13 innings worth like last nights!

She also "found" herself in the mirror for the first time this weekend.....quite cute.

Happy Mother's Day!

Trista is celebrating her first Mother's Day today! The three of us, along with the Hales', went to Stillwater yesterday. We walked up and down the street, shopped, and had lunch. It was an absolute perfect day to be outdoors. Emerson was a perfect girl all day. Today, Emerson and I will make Mommy breakfast in bed and just hang out as a family.

On Friday, she had her 2 month check up, which included her immunization shots. She weighed in at 12lbs 8oz and measured 22 3/4". That places her in the 90th percentile for weight!! Overall she did pretty well while getting her shots, but gave Mom and Dad a look as if to say "Why are you letting them do this to me?"

Emerson is 2 months old today!

Believe it or not, Emerson is 2 months old already. She starting to develop her personality, which means a lot of smiling and cooing for Mom and Dad. She's also fully established a disdain for naps, but she's still sweet as can be!
